Syracuse Residential Hall AssociAtion
The Residence Hall Association at Syracuse University was founded in 1977, making "Halls into Homes" for more than 35 years. We have been a NEACURH affiliate for more than 20 years, showing commitment to not only SU's Campus but also to NEACURH and NACURH. Ober the years, we have hosted multiple people on the Regional Board of Directors as well as held several conferences - the most recent being NACURH 2005, "Carry the Torch of Leadership."
Syracuse University RHA has developed student leaders that have taken their leadership potential to the regional level of NEACURH. Danielle Sutton- Puusalu was the NEACURH Regional Director for the 2012-2013 academic year; Zachary Chase is currently serving his role as Regional Communications Coordinator for New York State. Both of these leaders served on the Executive Board of the RHA at Syracuse University before stepping up into regional positions. It has been 15 years since we hosted the 1999 Regional conference "Follow the Yellow Brick Road" at SU, and the ORANGE is ready to welcome NEACURH back to campus. |

National Residence Hall Honorary
|
The Syracuse Orange Chapter of the National Residence Hall Honorary is one of the quickest up and coming chapters in the NEACURH region. With the departure of the graduating senior members, this year is the “Transformation Year” for our chapter. Our theme is: WE GO HARD! We are the bold Diamond leaders that put 100% effort into our passion.
We Go Hard for Recognition! We’ve remodeled the OTMs structure, and we’ve gone from zero OTMs to both campus and regional winning OTMs. We Go Hard for Leadership! Along with Leadership Committee, we’ve hosted Leadership Night, a mini leadership conference for student leaders on SU campus. We Go Hard for Service! Our focus is to Go Hard by giving back to the community; we are working with Give 5 Campaign to commit five hours of the time and energy to make a difference to our Syracuse Community. We Go Hard for Scholastics! We are reaching out to the premier academic organizations to collaborate on the Scholastic Diamond Campaign, which includes guest keynote speakers and the summit of student leaders on campus. Currently, we have 24 new diamond applicants waiting to be interviewed and inducted. The chapter is continually growing day by day to becoming one of the strongest NRHH chapters in the region. We’re resilient, we’re spicy, and we are the ORANGE. |
